Jennifer Carter
Jennifer Carter is the Director and Lead Instructor of SpaceTrek. Formerly a science teacher at Rowan County Senior High School, Jennifer pioneered a space science program offering courses in space systems engineering and astronomy. As a NASA Teacher Liaison, SOFIA Stratospheric Airborne Astronomy Ambassador, and Pulsar Search Collaboratory university leader, Jennifer has mentored students to discover pulsars, demonstrating her commitment to STEM education. Active in the Kentucky Girls STEM Collaborative and Million Women Mentors, she holds degrees in mathematics, physics, industrial technology, and teaching high school math from MSU.
Sara Richardson
Sara Richardson is the Assistance Director and Lead Instructor for SpaceTrek. In addition, she is the Space Division Systems Engineering and Integration Branch Manager at Leidos, and has a proven track record of leadership, systems engineering strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement. Prior to her current role, Sara gained valuable experience in the development of small satellites where she oversaw development and testing. Sara holds a master's degrees in Space Systems Engineering from Morehead State University. She resides in Huntsville, Alabama with her husband and son, where she enjoys exploring the city's vibrant tech community and spending time with her family in their free time.
Chloe Hart
Chloe Hart is SpaceTrek's Telecommunications Instructor. For her career, she Lead Ground Station Engineer/Operator for Morehead State University, with duties including the coordination of MSU’s participation in the operation of NASA’s Deep Space Network, tracking and detecting satellites, and maintaining the health of the ground station. She also trains new undergraduate and graduate students to properly in the operation of the ground station equipment and software. Chloe attended SpaceTrek in 2015, where she discovered her love for the Aerospace Field.
